Notes
Snooze, Mithrez, aasimar vengeance paladin Kknutzen, Allesia, aasimar redemption paladin YesAdMan, Reggie, sea elf rogue Simira, Bahiira, dwarf land druid While the enemy controls a majority of Mount Celestia’s layers, all Undead and Fiends in this adventure are treated as Celestials. Portals. Moving up to the next layer requires entering a portal on the far side of the current layer. A portal works both ways. It is not possible to teleport directly to another layer. Portal Teleport. A portal can be manipulated to skip the next layer (except skipping from the 5th to the 7th layer). First this requires either a creature casts teleport or expends a 7th level or higher spell slot and make a DC 25 Intelligence (Arcana) check. Then it must succeed on a DC 30 Intelligence (Arcana) check or suffer a failure which deals 55 (10d10) force damage to all targets of the spell. A successful DC 25 Intelligence (Arcana) check reveals the danger of this option. Portal Points. Each layer has a challenge to overcome to make it to the next portal. When the characters are ready to enter the next portal, they earn Portal Points equal to the current layer. No points are earned when skipping a layer. Planar Bound. Spells and abilities that allow access to other planes or extradimensional spaces no longer function (a wish spell allows one creature to leave Mount Celestia). Summoning and conjuration effects produce Celestials, Fiends, and Undead only. Otherwise, they fail. Warn your players of these limitations. Resting. The enemy is unrelenting in its efforts to cement its hold over Mount Celestia. If the characters stop for 1 hour (short rest, cast spells, etc.), all encounters increase by one level of difficulty. If they take a long rest, Mount Celestia is lost, and the adventure is over. There is an opportunity to get a short rest by expending Portal Points. Layer 3 Venya +1 AC Lvl 2 spell Lvl 6 spell Blinded if you are more than 10 feet away from it Pillars draining energy.
