Notes
Story Awards By your choice, all of the party gained: Hope Springs Eternal A land is more than its rulers, but always less than its people. It was for the people that you made your choice to allow magic to remain in the nation of Thay. In the wake of everything else, the Athora still glows dimly. Magic might be diminished, but it is not gone. Hope remains: more than that will rely on you. This Story Award will have consequences in future FR-DC-THAY adventures.

Magic Items

Name Rarity Location Table Result Counts?
Lo, Behold (Strange Material Robe of Eyes) Rare true
Once part of a Szass Tam clone’s plan to take over the Realms, the many eyes that pattern this leathery robe always regard you solemnly. Is it perhaps an optical illusion that the eyes are all matched pairs? This robe is adorned with eyelike patterns. While you wear the robe, you gain the following benefits: All-Around Vision. The robe gives you Advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on sight. Special Senses. You have Darkvision and Truesight, both with a range of 120 feet. Drawbacks. A Light spell cast on the robe or a Daylight spell cast within 5 feet of the robe gives you the Blinded condition for 1 minute. At the end of each of your turns, you make a Constitution saving throw (DC 11 for Light or DC 15 for Daylight), ending the condition on yourself on a success. Strange Material. The item was created from a material that is bizarre given its purpose. Its durability is unaffected.
Blink (Secret Message Ring of X-ray Vision) Rare false
Once part of a Szass Tam clone’s plan to take over the Realms, the eye set into the ring sometimes weeps reddish tears. When this liquid touches the inner surface of the ring, the following words emerge as though inscribed in blood: "I See You" While wearing this ring, you can take a Magic action to gain X-ray vision with a range of 30 feet for 1 minute. To you, solid objects within that radius appear transparent and don’t prevent light from passing through them. The vision can penetrate 1 foot of stone, 1 inch of common metal, or up to 3 feet of wood or dirt. Thicker substances or a thin sheet of lead block the vision. Whenever you use the ring again before taking a Long Rest, you must succeed on a DC 15 Constitution saving throw or gain 1 Exhaustion level. Secret Message. A message is hidden somewhere on the item. It might be visible only at a certain time, under the light of one phase of the moon, or in a specific location.
Hey You (Guardian Ring of Force Resistance) Rare false
Once part of a Szass Tam clone’s plan to take over the Realms, this sapphire ring hisses sibilantly from time to time. Even now, you hear it call your name. That's fine, right? You have resistance to force damage while wearing this sapphire ring. Guardian. The item warns you, granting a +2 bonus to your Initiative rolls if you don’t have the Incapacitated condition.
