a maximum of 20. If accepted, this blessing requires an attunment slot. This blessing is not tradeable, and if refused or unattuned, it cannot be regained.

While holding this shield, you have advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects, and spell attacks have disadvantage against you.

A shield is made from wood or metal and is carried in one hand. Wielding a shield increases your Armor Class by 2. You can benefit from only one shield at a time.

If you spend 48 hours over a period of 6 days or fewer studying the book's contents and practicing its guidelines, your Dexterity score increases by 2, as does your maximum for that score. The manual then loses its magic, but regains it in a century.
