If you spend five downtime days advocating, recruiting and training for the new militia, you become a member of their ranks and may always stay at the militia barracks free of charge. Any character that holds the Boon of Bitterwood, (from DDEX03-05 Bane of the Tradeways), story award, need only spend three downtime days.
