It is etched with a pattern of fine, interconnected lines inlaid with copper on one side, and studded with a smoky, rectangular rhinestone on the other. When you expend a charge, the rhinestone turns pearly white for 1 round, and a ray of light traces its way across the emblems surface, scribing a pattern that resembles the outline of the Monad.
